How we spent our Hot Days

This weekend, our weather was absolutely beautiful!  After Cristian's baseball game on Saturday, we all went to McLendons and bought plants for all my pots.  It was the perfect weekend to be planting flowers and vegetables.  Here are my helpers with their yard work gloves on!  They enjoyed the task of filling all my pots with dirt.

The planting station.  All together we planted 15 pots.
Carter also tried his first popsicle
Hmmm... not sure I like this
Let me taste it again
Nope, too cold.
While I was planting pots in the backyard, Cristian and Ava played on the slip and slide.

And this is Mr. Blue bird.  He and Mrs. Blue bird have been hanging out in our back yard for about a month now.  I've never seen a bird like this before at our house.  I'm going to try and get a picture of them with my zoom lens one of these days so we can get a closer look at them.
We bought A LOT of fruit at Costco when we were there the other day and have been making smoothies as our afternoon snack.  My favorite mix so far is banana, pineapple, mango, strawberries and blackberries with vanilla yogurt and ice all blended together.  YUM!

Would you like to try some?? =)
