Our Family on the 4th... enjoying a day at the lake with friends! We are so fortunate to live in America, and while we celebrate our freedom today, we remember that our freedom was won at a price. We are grateful for those who have fought (and are fighting) so that we may be free.

Look how choppy that water was, there were a lot of boats out. Cristian and Case had a blast out on that entertube floaty thing... it was like being on a roller coster ride going with all those waves.

My mom and dad were also at a 4th of July party at the lake (6 houses down from where we were) so we walked over and said hello to everyone.

Why are these snake fireworks so fascinating??
Me talking with Megan and Amy on the dock. (you may have noticed that I started off the day wearing a white old navy flag tank top. It's a good thing I brought a red old navy flag tank top as a back up because I spilt salsa all down the front of my white one, LOL.)
After 8 hours at the lake, we went to my parents house at 9:15 to watch the firework show that my sister put on. The kids started off with sparklers...
Then we watched the big ones.
Beautiful
Carter was not bothered by the loud noises... he enjoyed watching the fireworks.
Ava liked watching the fireworks, but wanted someone to cover her ears... Cristian LOVED every second of the firework show... he would have helped light them off if I would have let him.

Looks like an awesome 4th of July spent at the lake! You got some nice pics of the fireworks, and it doesn't surprise me at all that your sister does a great job with a fireworks show!!

Glad you had nice weather to enjoy the 4th. I have yet to see what Hayden will do with the fireworks, since she has crashed out everytime.
