We took a little 4-day mini vacation to the cabin this past week. It was great to relax a bit by the pool and read a book! We also did a lot of swimming! It was the first thing the kids wanted to do when we got there Thursday.
We went out for pizza the first night we were there :)
My sweet Ava. (never mind her messy hair... it did look really cute when I fixed it, but she had gymnastics Thursday morning, followed by a 1.5 hour car ride/nap to the cabin)

The kids also enjoyed playing tennis
Carter really enjoyed his first trip to the cabin! He was crawling all over the place checking everything out.

I think Cristian misses his doggy :) But Mia has decided her new home with Auntie Tricia is GREAT! she is so spoiled there!!
I asked Cristian what he thought of his trip to the cabin, and he gave a very enthusiastic 2 thumbs up!!

Making s'mores by the fire pit one night!! YUMM! Our cabin is right on the creek... where you see that opening in the trees and cabin in the distance is where the creek meets the Cowlitz river.

The Fishers... Sunday morning they rolled out of bed, ate a quick breakfast, got dressed and headed out to catch some fish :)
Notice Ava's messy bed head... Kyle wouldn't let me fix (or even run a brush through) Ava's hair because "we're going fishing... there's no need for fixing hair to go fishing)
The fishing trip was a success!! So proud of his first catch!

She dropped the fish right after this picture was taken... I don't think she was expecting the gross, slippery, slimey texture.

I bet your kids will have a lot of fond memories of the cabin. It looks like a lot of fun. Carter is getting so big. I love Ava's messy hair, it is the same as Hayden's but not as long. Cristian is quite the fish :)
SO fun! Love the sleeping on Tricia pick, he looks so big there! Congrats on the fish catching too! You can't do hair in prety bows for fishing, Kyle is right!
I could go for a mini-vacation to the cabin!! I haven't been since I was prego with JK, and J hasn't been since the summer we got married!
What a great trip - I can't believe Carter is starting to stand up:)
