So, we had quite the interesting experience getting TO disneyland on Saturday. First, my dad's airport garage parking pass wouldn't work, so we couldn't park at the airport like planned. So, the guys dropped us my mom, sister, and myself off with the kids and luggage so we could make it through security and still have time to get ourselves a starbucks while they went to a Master Park to park our car. Then we boarded our plane, got the seats all wiped down and sanitized for Ava, and got all settled in on the plane. When it was time to take off, the pilot announced that there was a mechanical problem and that people were working on fixing it, and he estimated we'd be about 30 minutes late taking off. Well, 30 minutes turned into an hour, and they finally decided it was going to take too long to fix the problem, so they had us all get off the airplane and wait to get on another plane. So, we had to go through the whole process again, pre-board, sanitize the area for Ava, and FINALLY, after a long delay, we were on our way to Disneyland. When we landed we were starving (it was 3:00 ish, and we were originally supposed to land at lunch time). So, we made a quick stop at subway, checked into our hotel, and finally made it to the park around 4:00. Here are Ava, Carter and me getting ready to walk to Disneyland.

They did a special Castle lighting ceremony at 5:15 every night while we were there. It looked so pretty!

Reflection in the water

Ava got to go on Star Tours for the first time! She was so excited to be tall enough (thanks to the help of some clogs :)

Getting ready to board

ready for her first Star Tours ride!

She also got to go on Thunder Mt for the first time :) By the end of the trip she was riding with her arms up in the air!

Her new favorite ride is Thunder Mt

It's a Small World all lit up for the Holidays too.

The kids waiting for the Firework Show to start

Carter loved the firework show, and the snow that fell after too!

Look at all those people watching it snow at Disneyland :)

The Main Street Christmas Tree

Carter and his new Light up Lightsaber

All the kids with their lightsabers. Cristian looks like he's ready to fight, LOL :)

Back at the hotel, all the kids wearing their new disney jammies from Nannie. Cristian got Buzz, Carter got Woody, and Ava got Tinker Bell.

Wow! The park is so beautiful all it up! What a magical day (after all the delay of course)! Glad Ava had some clog help and Carter loved it too! Devon and Cara want to go SO BAD! We might have to plan a trip to Disney World one of these days. Maybe when he turns . That would be fun.
Oh my goodness, the castle looks beautiful all lit up for Christmas, and Small World too! What great Christmas memories your kids will have!!!
That's so nice for Ava to get to experience some of the rides for the very first time ( a little funny that she needed the clogs, but whatever works :), I'm sure she was so happy. Love the pj pic of the kids at the end.
Looks like a great day at Disneyland! The castle looks amazing! Great pictures! :) So happy Ava got to go ont he big rides and that Cristian was able to go on Indiana JOnes! :)
How fun! And all the pics are awesome! Gracie was looking at them with me and she can't believe a place so great actually exists. :) We've been thinking of taking them to Disney World in the next year or two.
