It was so nice to be able to wake up in the morning and sit outside, drink a cup of coffee, and watch the kids play! Ava really enjoyed playing in the sand box. (funny, because she never really plays in ours) Here she is making me a cake.

Cristian and Emma blowing bubbles with the bubble wands Emma picked out for the kids. She was so sweet to want to buy a few toys for the kids because she was concerned that Cristian and Carter wouldn't have any boy toys to play with :)

Cristian, of course, turned his bubble wand into a lightsaber. He and Emma enjoyed playing "star wars" together.

Cristian also went for a swim after breakfast.

Around 10:00, we all drove to a place called Out Of Africa, which is really close to Sedona. It took about an hour to get there, but oh was it worth it!! Here are the kids on the little shuttle that took us around the park.

Our first stop was at a little feeding/petting zoo. We put our quarters into the little vending machine, and they kept coming back out with the food. So, the kids each got several turns feeding the animals.

Nicole and Ellie feeding them

These guys were so darn cute!

Then we went and watched a Tiger Show. 4 adults played with these large kitties, trying to lure them into the pool. They had giant cat toys that they used.

One of the Tigers finally went in after a ball.

But he came right out :)

To get the toys away from the Tigers, the trainers would bring over raw chicken to distract them.

Emma, Ava, and Cristian watching the show.

We walked around after the show and saw many animals that are native to Africa.

Look at this lioness enjoying the sunshine!

2 more lions

Carter fell asleep shortly after the Tiger show

For $5, the kids got a chance to feed a Tiger. Not something you get to do everyday!

Ava wasn't quite tall enough to reach the Tiger with that stick, so daddy helped out :)

Cristian petting a snake (which he said was his favorite part of the day).

Ava and Emma petting it too. I did put one finger on the snake and was instantly grossed out. When it slithered... you could feel its' back bones moving. Ewww.

This lioness was really CREEPY. If you click on this picture you might be able to see her eyes more clearly. She literally stalked our children... she didn't blink once, and followed their every move. Emma even started running, and she ran right with her.

See what I mean... creepy! She must have been hungry.

These guys are so cute!

We also went on a safari bus where we got to feed giraffes and camels. I've never been so close to animals like this in my life. It was pretty amazing.

Pretty zebras

Ava feeding a camel (it was really hard to get good pictures because the animals were literally inches away)

Carter's chubby little fingers feeding the camel

Cristian feeding a giraffe a carrot

Emma feeding the giraffe too

Look at it's tongue. This guy just came right into the bus and ate out of our hands and let Cristian pet him.

Look at this guys' horns!!

Kyle and Scott with the kids!

A group shot before leaving the park. The kids did so well... we did a lot of walking and were there for almost 5 hours.

When we got back to Phoenix, we went out for Mexican food (figured we should take advantage of being so close to the border). Once we got home the youngest 3 enjoyed playing in the sand box

Cute little expression, reminds me of Cristian :)
