Little Red Dress

Ava absolutely loves this little red dress.  (well, it used to be a dress on her, it is a size 12-18 months) but she likes it so much that we had to make it a shirt.  I recently had it in a pile of things to hand down to her cousin Cami, and she took it out of the pile saying "Not my little red dress"  She's looking and acting so much older to me the past couple of weeks, with her enormous vocabulary and her little hair cut.  She's growing up too quickly.
Ava is always telling me "You're the best Mommy I've ever had" and I always reply by saying "And you're the best Ava I've ever had"
My big, brown eyed girl!
I can't believe my Ava girl is going to be 3 years old next week.  We've been reminiscing recently about the past 3 years with our sweet girl.  She has been a delight since the day she was born... one of the most easy going kids I know.  She's sweet, yet sassy.  She's a princess, yet a Tom Boy at times.  She loves to color, sing, and read books, and is always making everyone laugh.  She loves her big brother and looks up to him, and she's a great little mommy to her little brother.
Her favorite colors right now are pink and green, her favorite movies are Tinkerbell and Star Wars, her favorite food is spaghetti, her favorite song is Once Upon a Dream and the theme song to Star Wars, her favorite Princess is Cinderella.  She sure is Sugar and Spice and everything Nice.
Silly Ava, loves to play in the exersaucer.

Her knees hit the bottom =)
Ava definitely brings sunshine to our cloudy days.
Ava Dava Do... We love you!

5 Months old

Carter turned 5 months old last week.  We figured he was ready to play in the exersaucer.
As you can see, he really enjoys his new toy.
Hmmm, this makes all kinds of interesting noises.
My big boy...all 19ish pounds of him.
Cute little quizzical face.
Smiley Baby Boy.
He found his feet this past month...
Carter loves to play peek-a-boo right now... he'll bury himself in your shoulder or chest and then pop up and wait for you to say "Peek-a-Boo Carter" and then he'll do it again, and again, and again =)
I think he looks like Ava (at 5 months) in this picture

5 months old

Just a fun comparison... Here's Cristian at 5 months
Smiley Cristian at 5 months
Ava Dava at 5 months... my little giraffe

Lion King @ The Paramount

Cristian, Nannie, and Auntie walking in down town Seattle.
My parents took C to see the Lion King over the weekend.  He really enjoyed it and said his favorite part was when Simba and some hyenas walked right by him (he was sitting on the aisle seat).

Disneyland Day 1, Friday 2/13

Here we are in front of the main gate entrance to Disneyland
Carter makes his Disneyland debut!!!
And he fell asleep 30 seconds after I put him in his stroller, so he slept through his first walk down Main Street
Excited for rides... heading to Tomorrow Land first.
Mommy and C on rockets.
Auntie and Ava on rockets.
Carter with a magic Mickey hat on that is the same size as him
Daddy, Carter and Ava with Minnie Mouse (Cristian was on Space Mountain)
Ava with Minnie Mouse
Getting autographs
Ava with Mickey Mouse
C walked off of Space Mountain just in time to get his picture with Mickey too.
And then we saw Buzz Lightyear! (here he is saying hi to Carter)
The older two with Buzz.

Matterhorn

We decided to have lunch at the Tomorrow Land Terrace so we could watch the Jedi Training Academy show... both my kids love Star Wars, and they both were selected to be apart of the show. They were thrilled...and it was the highlight of the trip

Cristian was about the 13th picked out of 20 kids, and he was front/center stage right by the Jedi Master.
Ava was the 20th out 20 kids to get picked, she was beyond excited.
C gets his Light saber
Learning how to be a Jedi
Listening and practicing very intently
Ava too =)
about 1/3 of the 20 kids picked got a chance to fight Darth Vader... C was not afraid!
And little Ava was the last person to get to fight Darth... and she marched up there and fought her little heart out and defeated him!!
She was very proud of herself because Darth tried to trick her into joining the dark side of the Force... but she would not join him.

Jedi Ava
C learning how to fight like a Jedi
Learning how to duck when the oppenent swings at you
All the kids in the Training Academy (Ava front/center, Cristian front/center stage)
Waiting their turn to fight Darth Vader
Cristian ready to face Darth
Seriously the cutest thing ever... she was by far the youngest person chosen... I don't know many 2 year old girls (almost 3) who wouldn't have been afraid to do what she did. And she LOVED it!
The rain started shortly after lunch...
Posing in the rain before leaving Disneyland to head to California Adventure.
Ava enjoying her churro all wrapped up in a poncho.
Waiting to have dinner at the Wine Country Trattoria in C.A. (Ava with her new Darth Goofy and C with his Star Wars gun)
My Princess/Jedi =)
