An Encouraging Start, UW vs LSU

We had a great time at the Husky game and tailgate yesterday! Although we didn't win, it was a great game to be at! There were 70,000 enthusiastic and loud fans at the game all wearing purple which made the atmosphere so exciting. The Dawgs played WELL (against a Nationally ranked team) and they have improved drastically since last year. It's going to be a FUN season!

Ava's Preschool Orientation

Today Ava had Meet the Teacher and Preschool Orientation. She was so excited to go meet her teacher and the kids in her class.
Ava's teacher's name is Miss Megan, and we found out that her friend Emma is in her class! They have two 3 year old preschool classes at the same time, so Stacy (Emma's mom) and I were excited our girls are in the same class!

Playdate 9/2 @ The Park

We met some friends at the park today for a playdate. We're trying to take advantage of the nice weather and the last few days of summer vacation!! Here's Kaylee, Ava, Elise, and Cristian in the center of the play toy.

End o' Summer BBQ

We went to an end of the Summer BBQ at our friends the Coopers house on Sunday afternoon. It's still hard for me to believe just how FAST the summer went by.

Ava spent the first half an hour playing in their sand table. We have a sand box at home that she rarely touches because she does not like having sand on herself. So, this was perfect for her, she could play and build castles without getting dirty :)

Girls Night Out @ The Mariners Game

Saturday was Girls night out at the Mariners game, so my mom, sister, Ava and myself (and Carter too) went to the Mariners game! They were giving out free 10 minute massages, manicures, Mary Kay samples, beads, and a bunch of other fun things. Here's Ava playing in the Moose's Den before the game.

Grandma's 80th Birthday Party

Saturday we went up to my Grandma's house to celebrate her 80th birthday. I didn't take very many pictures though. Here are a couple... the kids "peeling the hair" off the corn.

Carter's A Big Boy!

I got this for myself, but he ended up drinking 1/2 of it :) It was a nice treat for him while I unloaded all of my groceries from the trunk and then put them away.
Carter is starting to walk more and more every day. Here he is walking to Ava :)
Then Ava would turn him around, and he'd walk back to daddy.

And Big Brother was cheering him on too! He loves feeling like a big boy, and loved all the encouragement he was getting from everyone. He definitely seems to like the spot light.
