Preschool Halloween Party

Ava's preschool had a halloween party today... they had a lot of yummy snacks and games for the kids. Parents were invited, but I had to stay home w/ the boys since Cristian was still home sick. But I did sneak in for the last 5 minutes to take a couple pictures of Ava.

Such a trooper

Today I had to stop by Cristian's school to drop off supplies for their halloween party tomorrow and pick up packet of school work Cristian had missed from the past 3 days. Fortunately, all this week the kids have had LATE START, so he's not missing much, in fact, it's just a review week with a lot of fun, halloween geared projects. He was so excited to get started on all his work as soon as he got home! He has been wearing this little mask they gave him at the doctors office because he really doesn't want to get anyone else sick. Sweet boy! It actually makes me kind of sad to see him wear it.

Poor Cristian

Poor sick Cristian! After 3 consecutive days with a fever, we took him to the doctor yesterday and he tested positive for the flu. (most likely swine flu since that's what's going around). He has been feeling much better today, he even got all his homework done for the week today, has been humming Christmas songs, and is begging to go back to school. So far, his fever has stayed away today... hopefully he'll make it to class tomorrow for his Halloween party.
These two have been such good buddies the past 3 days while Cristian has been sick. We've been reading a lot of books and building w/ blocks while poor Cristian takes it easy on the couch.

First Hair Cut

Carter got his first hair cut... and now I think he looks even more like Cristian did at this age.

Sunday Family Fun Night

Sunday Night we ordered pizza, popped some popcorn and ate some smarties while we watched the Disney channel's special Sunday Night Family Movie, Mickey Mouse's Choo Choo Train movie.
This picture of Carter made me laugh!
Me and My kiddos. Don't ask me why we're all snuggled up on the Love Seat instead of the Sofa, LOL.

Twilight/New Moon Party

It's no secret that my family is a little weird, and in some opinions, this may add fuel to that fire, LOL. Call us nerds, call us crazy, but we had a lot of fun! My cousin Emily hosted a Twilight party and we all made tshirts in anticipation for the release of the next movie in the Twilight series, New Moon.

Fall Festival

Friday night we went to Cristian's fall festival at his school. The kids had so much fun playing games like Witches Ring Toss, Pumpkin Ball, Glow in the dark putt putt golf, and much much more. Here they are in JAIL... Cristian's PE teacher was dressed up as a Police Officer and was in charge of the jail. (the pictures aren't great... we didn't take very many because the place was packed with kids everywhere, and Carter had to be carried the entire time to avoid being trampled)

The pirate and the princess
Mommy, Cristian, and Ava doing the cake walk. I was impressed that they had a "peanut free" dessert table so Ava could actually eat one of the cupcakes!

Gymnastics Buddy

My friend and college teammate from Iowa, Kathy, was in town last week visiting her sister, brother-in-law, and their 3 kids. We were able to meet for lunch at the Rain Forest Cafe on Friday, and it was great seeing her again and meeting her cute little boy, Asher. (you may notice that Ava has an Iowa Hawkeyes tattoo on both of her hands. Go Hawkeyes!

Father/Grandfather Night at Preshool

Thursday night was Father and Grandfather night at Ava's preschool. She was so excited to go show her daddy and grampa around her preschool and have a special night with just them. They had little crafts set up; they painted a wooden picture frame and made book marks, they also had some yummy snacks.

Ava Girl

I absolutely love fall photos! This was my favorite picture of Ava from our trip to the pumpkin patch this morning. Fall is such a beautiful time of year, and Ava is such a beautiful little girl =)

Ava's Field Trip

This morning Ava had a field trip to the Pumpkin Patch. We met at her preschool first and all had breakfast, then Ava got to show me what her favorite things to do at preschool were. She likes looking at things through the magnifying glass.
Here's Ava's art work... she really enjoys art time!
She likes circle time when they talk about the calendar and the weather.
She really likes putting on puppet shows.
And this is her favorite toy to play with in the classroom =)
After spending time together at school, we headed to the pumpkin patch. Ava was so excited for her first ever Field Trip.

Ava and her best friend, Emma.
Listening to the tour guide.
Look how cute they are, listening so intently.
They had a lot of animals on the farm too, this turkey's name was Butterball.
This momma sheep had 10 day old lambs. They were so cute!!
