Magical Night of Giving

Kyle and I took the kids to the Magical Night of Giving at the Super Mall Sunday evening. The whole reason we went was to watch the Santa make his grand entrance :) Here they are posing by the big Christmas tree and Santa's sleigh.
There's SANTA!!
Here comes SANTA!! (he's right by Ava's head :)

The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe

Friday night, my mom, dad, and I took the kids to the Tacoma Little Theater to watch my cousin Karly perform in the play, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.
The kids with Aunt Daria, Clint and Larissa too before the show started. Ava did such a great job sitting quietly and still during the entire play. She was captivated the entire time.

Carter and Sofia

Wednesday night we went and had dinner with some friends of ours who have a little girl about Carter's age. We tried to get them to pose for a picture... and the only way we could get Sofia to sit on the couch was to let her eat an apple :)
Checking each other out.
Playing inside the ottoman/toy chest
Ava and Sofia jumping on the bed. Sofia just LOVED Ava :)

Veteran's Day

On Veteran's Day, we took advantage of our day off (and the nice weather) and met some friends at the park!
The kids loved riding through the puddle of water :)
Carter enjoyed playing on the toys!

Make up Trick or Treating

Every year on Halloween, I've taken the kids around to visit my Grandparents, Great Grandma, and Aunts and Uncles... but because Cristian was just recovering from the flu, we took it easy and just went to my parents house. Cousin Tori was also sick, so Emily and planned a make-up night of Trick or treating so everyone could still get a chance to see the kids in their costumes. First stop was at Aunt Denise's house... Emily made some yummy homemade chili for dinner! Here are the kids with Aunt Denise and Uncle Don (one week after Halloween :)
Next stop was Great Grandma and Great Papa's house.

We also stopped at Aunt Lisa's house, but we forgot to take a picture :(

Happy 1/2 Birthday Cristian

Cristian's First Grade pictures came home on Monday and I just can't get over how grown up he looks. What a huge difference between his Kindergarten picture and his First grade picture. Gone is that young preschool, baby face. He has now turned into a handsome BOY.
The traditional 1/2 birthday present waiting for him by the fireplace.
He spies what is inside and is VERY excited about it!
A new webkinz!
He named him Shamu =) Happy Half Birthday Cristian, we love you!!

Carter

Just a cute picture of Carter playing outside today. He sure loves to explore the world around him, and right now wants to know what everything is. He'll hold up a twig and say "dat?" and I'll say, "that's a twig", then he'll hold up a leaf and say "dat?" and I'll say "that's a leaf". I love how curious kids are =)

Halloween 2009

Here's Ava getting her hair and make up done =)
Pretty Princess Leia hair do =)
We ate an early dinner and left our house around 5pm. We made a quick stop at Starbucks to use a gift card that Grandma Gina and Grandpa Larry sent the kids... everyone working thought it was so adorable that they were all Star Wars characters. The kids got some candy for their pumpkins and we got our drinks and headed to Nannie and Grampie's house.
Look at those beautiful Fall colors.Princess Leia, Yoda, and Clone Trooper
Nannie had some Halloween treat bags for the kids waiting by the front door (that they had previously decorated). They each got matching Husky outfits, Honey Bunnys, Halloween stickers, ski gloves, and Carter got a shape sorting puzzle and a book
and the older two got a webkinz! Cristian was so excited to get this Halloween dragon, he went immediately to the computer and was almost willing to forego the trick or treating to play with his new webkinz.
The treat table... Mmmm... Pumpkin Spritz cookies, my favorite.
Ready to go trick or treating
Carter checking out his loot
He enjoyed emptying all the candy out of his pumpkin, and then putting it all back in again =) We took it pretty easy this Halloween since Cristian is just now recovering from the flu, so we were unable to make our usual rounds visiting the family. But because our cousins were sick too, we're going to have a little Halloween party later this week once everyone is feeling better.

Halloween Morning

Love those sleepy little faces =) Here they are first thing Halloween morning, excited to see what the Spooky White Ghost left for them.
Getting their treat bags
oh boy... so exciting!
In their treat bags, they each got their own special little halloween present... and
the older two got Orange gum... and
Orange tic tacs...
I love this picture because both Cristian and Ava were so excited to watch Carter open the things in his bag (he got some puffs and fruit sticks instead of gum and tic tacs =)
And they also each got their own Disney Halloween plush toy. Mickey was dressed up as a vampire, Minnie as a Spider woman, and Tiger as a super hero
They also each got a giant glow stick for trick or treating, a pack of skittles for C and A, and some Mickey Mouse suckers (thanks to Nicole who got those at Disneyland for the kids! They were so excited!)
