Poor Sick Kids!

My poor youngest two kids have been battling croup the past several days. Both of them required breathing treatments and steriods to help them clear/reduce swelling in their airway. Carter had to go to Good Sam for xrays, and turns out he had pneumonia too, so they put him on antibiotics. Ava had to go to Mary Bridge for more treatments and to monitor her for dehydration because she kept choking on and then vomiting phlegm. They're both doing better now, but it was a rough few days for sure!!
Ava with her presents from Auntie, the day she went to the doctor/hospital.
Poor guy liked to lay on the cool, hard wood floors.
A rare sad face from my sick baby :(

Upward Basketball

Cristian started basketball twice a week the first week of January. He is really enjoying it, but what sport doesn't this boy like to play?!?!
He's had 5 practices so far, and his first game is this Saturday afternoon. He's very excited!

Carter is 16 Months

It's so hard to believe that my baby is 16 months old... almost 1 1/2 years old. Carter is just the happiest, most laid back little guy I've ever met. I love seeing that smile of his!
Carter enjoying some "just mommy" time while Cristian and Ava are at school.
Always smiling :)
One of Carter's favorite snacks right now is pretzel sticks dipped in hummus.
Yummy!
Look at those big brown eyes!
Carter loves to play hide and seek
Carter's hiding spot under the chair
He loves to jump on the edge of his ball pit like a trampoline while holding onto the chair. Happy 16 month birthday Carter!!

New Year's Eve/Day

We had a very quiet New Year's Eve this year since we had just gotten home from Disneyland. We had a Wii family bowling tournament, and did a little New Year's Eve countdown at 9pm (we celebrated with the East Coast) :). I didn't even make it up until midnight this year. Here's to a New Decade and a Happy 2010!!
New Year's day Auntie came over and helped Cristian with his new star wars lego set
The finished product
And did puzzles with Ava. The kids were happy to be home to play with their Christmas presents!

We didn't take very many pictures after this because it started raining...
They canceled the parade and just had the characters drive around Main Street in this Trolley
Carter watched from his little rain proof hut while the other two were going on rides
Rain, rain, rain
Good thing rain doesn't bug us!
